According to recent stats 65% of Facebook users in the United States are older than 35, are more likely female than male and are spending approximately 20 minutes on the site per day. Some users making as many as 14 visits to the site per day, especially if they have an iPhone or other smartphone.
All that being said, is your organization using Facebook effectively…at all? Do you have a Facebook group or what about a page? How many likes does your organization have? How many likes have you gotten this week? What was your post reach last week? What are your engagement stats? Have you ever tried to give your posts a Boost?
If all this sounds like gibberish then we’d like to help you. Facebook is the largest community of individuals on the Internet and I will guarantee that the majority of people in the pew this past Sunday have been to Facebook.com in the last 24 hours. So why don’t we spend a little time figuring out how to talk to them in a place they are already hanging out.
Over the next 10 weeks or so, we are going to discuss how to get your Group and or Page started and what the difference is. Ensure that you, the person reading this, isn’t the only one doing all the posting. Give you tips to grow your audience and how to create content that is something your “Friends” are going to want to read.
See you back here next Wednesday,
