Welcome to AdminIsMinistry…
Rev. Micah James, CCA, AdminIsMinistry’s Lead Consultant and Owner, is the benefactor of three generators of church administrator genealogy, which includes Rev. Mike Hunter, CCA, AdminIsMinistry’s advisor and a contract speaker, and her grandmother Emma Slaughter, who served as a church financial secretary for more than 40 years. Micah and Mike had long dreamed of using their experience and knowledge to creating a platform where they could share it in bite-sized nuggets that were easy for any-level of Administrator, beginner to expert, to understand.
In 2015, while Micah was in the midst of a ministry transition and had a few spare moments, she created a simple website to share brief blog postings on topics of administration. AdminIsMinistry.com launched in 2015 out of this dream for a resource for ministers in the area of church administration and stewardship.
Over the last few years, AdminIsMinistry has had the opportunity to facilitate educational opportunities for leaders at events across the United States, serving congregations locally, regionally, and in partnership with other organizations such as the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), The Pension Fund (Christian Church) and The Church Network (National Association of Church Business Administrators).

In 2017, AdminIsMinistry became a LLC to better organize its services and finances. This allows AdminIsMinistry, LLC to contract and coordinate with others entities to facilitate services on behalf of those we work with – this means better webinars, speakers, etc. We are excited about this next step in our work.
Our vision is to serve God through resourcing leaders and that guides everything we do. With pastors in our leadership, we understand how important it is to have a theological grounding in your administrative practice and we take that seriously. We do what we do to serve God. We want to help you do what you do better so you can serve God and God’s people to the best of your ability. We don’t want you to waste a single resource – time, money, supplies, people, etc.
Our mission at AdminIsMinistry is to equip leaders in the best administrative practices and coach you to use them. This allows you to spend less time spinning your wheels and more time doing highly effective ministry.
